WINDOW CLEANING
Window tracks
Our prices are for cleaning glass; however, we do give the window frames and tracks a complimentary wipe over as part of our general window clean. For a deep clean of the window or door tracks we recommend hiring a general cleaner to carry out this task, as it requires a vacuum cleaner and general cleaning equipment. Vacuuming tracks is not something offered by Brightview Window Cleaning.
Flyscreens
All of our window clean services come inclusive of a flyscreen clean. We remove dust and/or wash the flyscreens and refit them. If your blinds, curtains, or plantations shutters are blocking safe removal of your flyscreens, we will not forcefully remove the flyscreens or disassemble blinds or curtains that is blocking access to clean the glass or flyscreen.
Hard water stains
Hard water staining, or oxidation, in the form of water spots or a cloudy white build up on the glass, can and does occur if windows, pool fences and shower screens are not cleaned on a regular basis, or the glass is close to any water source such as sprinklers, taps, and water run-off. Glass is a porous surface material that can be irreversibly damaged under these conditions. Our general window clean does not remove hard water stains or oxidation. Results of our clean may vary as a result. We have no control over this and do not offer refunds based on varied results.
Scratches
We only use non-abrasive industry approved techniques to clean glass via mop and squeegee, or water fed pole using purified water and a soft filament brush. As such, it isn't possible for us to scratch glass surfaces during our residential or commercial cleaning process. Any scratches that may appear after our clean are due to the removal of dirt and dust that had previously been covering them. Once a clean is complete, any pre-existing scratches will be far more noticeable through clean glass. For post construction cleans, it is acknowledged that every care and proper procedure is taken to minimise scratches on the glass when dealing with paint, render and mortar.
Post Construction
Post construction or renovation debris such as paint, silicone, render, mortar in not included with our general window cleaning service. To have such items removed from the glass, the client must mention this during the quotation so that the additional time, labour, and chemicals required are factored into the quotation.
It is accepted and understood by all parties that razor blades and scrapers are the industry standard tools for post construction window cleaning, in order to remove building debris and paint from glass. We will do our best to remove all post debris from the glass without scratching the glass but cannot guarantee a scratch free finish. It is acknowledged and fully accepted by agreeing to these Terms and Conditions that you understand the risks and accept those risks associated with the use of a scraper blade to clean glass. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you will not hold Brightview Window Cleaning responsible or liable for any or all glass scratches sustained during the course of its clean.
GUTTER CLEANING
When on site, we will need access to water and power to operate various pieces of equipment. Our gutter cleaning quotes include inspecting and cleaning gutters by hand and flushing downpipes with low pressure water to ensure the functionality of the gutters. Our gutter cleaning service is not for presentation purposes and therefore does not include wiping clean or pressure washing gutters or downpipes to a totally dirt-free. For this service, additional charges will apply to cover the additional time and labour involved. Standard gutter cleaning quotes do not include uninstalling and re-installing gutter guards. Additional charges will apply for service to cover the additional time and labour.
If there is an excessive waste/debris present within the gutters, additional charges may apply in addition to the initial quoted amount. All gutter waste will be disposed of in the Customer’s green waste bins. If no bin is supplied for disposal of the waste on the day of service, an additional charge will apply for waste removal.
If a downpipe is blocked and we cannot reach the blockage with our tools, this will require the services of a roof plumber to clear the debris within the downpipe. This is not included in the scope of our gutter cleaning works. No reduction in our quoted price will apply. You acknowledge that the clearing of blocked downpipes may require the services of a roof plumber.
Before and after photos can be supplied to the customer upon request at the completion of the gutter cleaning service.
Wet Weather
In most cases, unless it is deemed unsafe to perform work, wet weather will not require work to be rescheduled, as rain has no effect on the quality of the finished work. Rain will simply rinse and dry spot free on freshly cleaned glass. If within seven days of the completed clean, you notice that rain or stormy weather has visibly dirtied the glass, please contact us with photos of the affected glass and we will come out and fix it for you.
