Scratches
We only use industry approved, non-abrasive techniques to clean glass with a mop and squeegee, or a water fed pole, using purified water and soft filament brushes. This means it to not possible for us to scratch glass surfaces during our cleaning process. Any scratches that are visible after our clean were pre-existing and uncovered by dirt and grim after the clean. Once a clean is done any pre-existing scratches will be far more noticeable.
Hard Water Stains
Hard water stains, or oxidation, appears as water spots or a cloudy white build up on the glass, and occurs if windows are not cleaned on a regular basis or the glass is close to a water source, such as sprinklers or water run-off. Glass is a porous surface material, which can be irreversibly damaged under these conditions. Our general window clean does not remove hard water stains or oxidation, which means results of our clean may vary. We have no control over this and do not offer refunds based on varied results.
Debris on the Glass
Removal of post construction or renovation debris, such as paint, silicone, render, or mortar, is not included with our general window cleaning service. To have such items removed from your glass, it must be mentioned during the quotation, as additional time, labour and materials will need to be factored into the quotation. Proper care and procedures are used when removing post construction debris to minimise the chance of scratches.
Window Tracks
As a part of our general window cleaning service, we include complimentary wipe over of window frames and tracks. Vacuuming tracks is not something we offer. For a deep clean of window and door tracks, we recommend hiring a general cleaner as this task requires a vacuum cleaner and general cleaning equipment.
We understand life can be busy and circumstances change. We try to accommodate schedule changes as best as we can, however if you need to reschedule or cancel your clean, we require a minimum of 48hrs notice. Jobs that are cancelled with less than 48hrs notice will incur a $50.00 fee or 10% of the overall job cost (whichever is greater). Further bookings will not be permitted until the cancellation fee is paid.
RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS
We accept following methods of payment: cash, credit card and electronic funds transfer (EFT). Card payments will incur a 1.9% surcharge fee of the total amount. EFT payments are required within 24hrs of the job completion. There may be additional costs incurred for late payments. A tax invoice will be supplied upon request and sent via email.
BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
A tax invoice will be sent via email upon completion of the job. Payment is required within net 14 days of the date of service. These terms also apply to builders and cleaning companies, with the additional requirement of an upfront payment of 50% of the total value for first time service prior to commencement. Progress payments may be required for large scale projects involving long periods between build stages.
All terms and conditions are outlined in our quotations and need to be agreed to by phone, SMS, or email prior to work commencing. No further documents need to be signed unless at the discretion of Brightview Window Cleaning.
